bkdg turns three.

We’re starting to think the holidays aren’t the holidays without a lengthy BKDG pop-up — and this year is no exception, setting up shop this year alongside the Wolverine Company Store in Nolita.

Making use of a dedicated event and pop-up space within Wolverine’s first New York location at 254 Elizabeth Street in Nolita, we’re hosting our longest pop-up event to date, running four weeks through the holidays with a hefty selection of new and hand-picked vintage menswear, accessories & gifts.  This go, we take inspiration from our nation’s service men & women who won’t be able to get home for the holidays & have kitted out the space with some great military pieces — and then brought in a 8 ft. tall chalk board.  We’re hoping folks coming through will feel inspired & create messages, notes, dedications & drawings we’ll post to Instagram with the hashtag #bkdgbringemhome to support to those serving overseas this holiday season while most of us head home to our families.

Additionally, we’ve partnered with menswear designer David Hart to create a series of Christmas stockings made from Harris Tweeds used in Hart’s FW’13 collection to raise money for New York City’s Bowery Mission which has been serving the community since 1879 with 25% of selling price of each stocking sold.

Gifts, goodwill and one hell of a launch party. See, we’re not only launching a pop-up — we’re doing so on BKDG’s 3rd birthday.  Pop by Thursday, December 12th from 6P-9P (we’ll will remain open through January 9th during Wolverine’s regular business hours) and join us for some proper winter warmers, thanks to Sixpoint, to put you in the holiday spirit.

Most importantly, thanks tons for all the support during our first three years.  We appreciate the opportunity to ditch our day jobs and do something we actually love immensely.

We suggest everyone try it some time.  Scary as hell, but completely worth it.
