Were wrapping up our weeklong Ode to Schott with a peek inside their new Nolita flagship store. It is the newest addition to a block that is rapidly becoming one of the most important in New York for menswear, rubbing shoulders with Steven Alan, Wolverine, UNIS, Quality Mending Co., Alex Mill, and currently, the Todd Snyder City Gym popup. Schott definitely snagged one of the most beautiful units on the block, with bay windows in the front, a skylight in the back and exposed brick lining the walls. Add a little weathered wood, raw steel and some vintage pieces to tell the story, you get a pretty damn sexy little shop.
Schott has more than enough in their arsenal alone to fill the store several times over, but they partnered with some like-minded friends to round out their “American Original” story Chippewa Boots has one of the largest selections from their heritage line I have seen anywhere in NYC, and it all pairs nicely with some Lee 101 denim. Everything about the store, from the design to the brand selection looks geared to keep the focus on the jackets. Nothing to complain about there. Honestly the store just feels like it belongs on that street, like it has been there for years already.
